Those little mascara wands that brush color in take a while to fade on light hair, but washed right out on my dark hair. Plus, it felt like mascara! : / Made my hair stiff and impossible to brush. On my daughter's blond hair, it looked really pretty for a few weeks before it completely washed out.

You will be still be able to see the feathers and they don't damage your hair and once they are in you don't notice them, and they can be taken out so easy!! When you tie your hair up just play around with the feathers so it shows through your hair?
