I live in England and the weather is all over the place. For July take summer clothes, with plenty of warm layers (jumpers etc) as it will go cold from time to time. :) Where are you coming from?

I love England in the summer because I am comfortable in anything! I wore a lot of jeans, flats, tshirts/tank tops, and cardigans and I was always comfortable. I don't wear shorts, but dresses and skirts (of any length) were comfortable too. I'm not sure where you're going in France, I've only been to Paris is August so it may be a little different from when you go, but I was most comfortable in loose fitting, or jersey dresses. I dressed a little more "summery" in Paris than I ever had to during that same times in England.

I live in france [EnglishExpatAlert] but it really depends , july is warm but august is warmer and the french tend to go on holiday when the tourist have gone so if your going towards the end of august its going to be packed!
