Question:
is it true that by adding some red color into your conditioner it will help by keeping the color vibrant??

It would be best to put like a red semi permanent into it, like manic panic, or some kind of stain, that doesn't use any developer. You can sometimes find products that already have red tint in it, I think Bumble and bumble stopped making theirs but I'm sure they probably sell it somewhere on the Internet. Kerastase makes a really great shampoo rinse that doesn't have any sulfates in it and keeps the color in because it doesn't have any harsh agents washing the color out, it's their Chroma Riches line - all pink.

Oh okaii cool thanks jessica :)
I'm in a shower cap as I write I did hicolor magenta and then a manic panic in red... and was just wondering what else I could do to keep the color in a little bit longer :)

Absolutely. I use colors in conditioners to make at home hair cocktails for my red clients!

Use voico color intensity! 10$ a tube and you can get a few touch ups with it. I got my hair done professionally almost a year ago and only used the voico ever since.

Paul Mitchell has pigmented shampoos to help keep any color vibrant and toned properly.

I actually used to put red protein filler instead of dye into my shampoo and conditioner!
