I have long hair that goes to my mid-back and I want to keep it down for prom. I already plan to curl it but what else can I do with it to make it more prom-y?

Do a braided crown, a waterfall braid, or wear a flower headpiece :)

It'll probably be strapless or one shoulder. I'm trying to stay away from flower head pieces :o.

If you want an updo do a French braid all the way down your head (top to bottom) then take the tip of the braid and push it under the braid. (It doesn't make that much sense but oh well!) then secure with bobby pins. If you want curly hair like in my profile picture do the French braid ( top to bottom) then leave it in for about 9 hours (you can sleep in it if you choose) then take it down (what I did) or you can wet your hair with the braid then take it out and blow dry it. (I don't know if you will get the same results!)

A braid would be cute. But just my opinion I highly advise against wearing your hair down. With all the dancing and sweating, itll just get in your face. Also the humidity will cause your curls to frizz and fall. All the girls at my school who wore their hair down looked like a hot mess by the 2nd hr! I wore mine in a messy curly side bun with a braid on the side. My hair stayed perfect till 4pm the next day! Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the help everyone! The main reason I want my hair down is because my ears protrude and it wouldn't look good up. I'll probably somehow pin my hair back so it stays out of my face for the most part.
