I like both looks and if I was still at school I would love to have teacher who dresses like you. For me both looks great and make you identify with pupils more. I prefer teachers with approachable look like yours than 'stereotypical' suit and bun.

I agree with Rozberry.
The first look is very current - I don't understand the comment about it being club wear at all. I see leggings, high-low and blazers every day in the street.
The second look is a bit more classic.
No need to question yourself at all :)

Michelle P. is right on. I am an image consultant and while I teach people how to dress for work or any event, I realize many people think of professional attire as suits, but it is important to consider your industry and organization's culture, in your case this outfit seems to be suitable. I can't see how flowing is the blazer _ I would just be careful to not put two very similar shapes over each other.

People also don't realize that teaching attire is a bit more casual than most professional attire. A good teacher is on his or her feet standing and walking around a good four hours of the day. Also, there is not an "industry standard". The environment of the school plays a big role-- oftentimes the principal will sort of set a dress code to follow. Many schools allow dark wash jeans. The key is to look put together and not sloppy. You look very professional in both outfits. Perfect for teaching in my opinion.

I think the reason why this could be seen as inappropriate is because well blatantly, you look hot! You are truly just stinkin' adorable!
The issue with that is teenage boys have teenage brains. I had teachers that dressed super trendy like you are when I was in Junior high. I'm about to be 23 and the boys I graduated with are STILL talking about how "fine that ass" was. Or how ask they wanted to do was "get it in" how they didn't learn anything because ask they could think about was, well you get the point.
You have to keep your audience and their mentality in mind.
I'm not saying go super frumpy, I think you are so cute, but maybe tone it down just a tad just to be safe.

Thanks ladies!! Good point Cindy. Stephanie, that's very true, my principal always compliments my way of dressing, she even cut her hair like mine :-) also I am an art teacher, so my students would be so disappointed of I dressed plainly.

I wish my teachers would dress more like that! nothing is inappropriate, simply cute! it would be different if you were showing a lot of skin but you're not, it looks like this teacher actually has a STYLE.

Although if you feel like it could be unprofessional, flats make everything look more casual, less attention yet comfy!
