I'm with you rafiat, I'm a teacher, too and this is club wear.

Oh no. Why does it look unprofessional?

I think its cute! It looks clean and polished. I am going into a career where I will have to dress "professionally" but I'm stil young and into fashion so I understand not wanting to give up any of that while still dressing for the job. I think the tooth fairy comment was about the high low hem + the color... it makes it quite dainty looking but that's all I could come up with!

I don't see anything wrong with it. I like it! I see tons of teachers dressing this way.

I looked at the photo again, My pants might appear tight in it, but they are not tight they are a slim cut black khaki pant. My blazer is a flowing one so maybe it is fairyish as well.

I think its fine just because you're a teacher does not mean you should have to wear dowdy clothing. Jeans and a t-shirt would be unprofessional. What you are wearing is keeping with the trend while staying comfortable and true to yourself. Students want a teacher that they can relate to. By wearing something that is hip but also professional is making you a more relatable teacher.
This is by no means is club wear. I am Not sure what kind of clubs other people go to but in my experience club wear is form fitting, sparkly, or shows too much skin. This outfit has none of that. As long as your outfit is not getting you into trouble at school I think you should ignore what everyone else is saying and just enjoy your own sense of fashion!!  :-)

I'm in school to be a teacher and just finished my student teaching. I think it's perfectly fine for teaching. Professional doesn't have to be boring.

Amen, Stephanie!

I think it's really cute! I agree with Stephanie.

Now I feel compelled to double check... Professional?

It looks adorable and is perfectly appropriate. Agreed...professional should not equate boring in modern society. Women did the suit and bun bit for ages. We paid our dues. I'll tell you what is inappropriate... her uninvited and unnecessary commentary.

Thanks rozberry!! Sarah, thanks, a blazer would be great.

Rozberry, I have been teaching for 5 years and never got a comment like that at work, regularly the opposite, so that caught me off guard!! Thanks for your reassurance girls!
