I started shaving when I was 11 because my leg hair was nasty! And my mom didnt care!

I started around 11 or 12. My leg hair got dark once I hit puberty.
And 13 is beyond old enough to start shaving if your hair is noticeable, I don't understand why your parents are so concerned about it growing back... that's just what happens when you shave!

I started at 9 - with naturally black hair, it was so noticeable. I was embarrassed by it, my mum understood and taught me how to use a razor. It's personal preference, but if you have hair on your legs that's noticeable there really is not harm in shaving it off. I really don't understand the major fuss that parents make it out to be. Luckily my mum wasn't like that.

I started at 11, but whatever age you feel like you should is a good time to start

Try asking to use the Nair products, that way it isn't really shaving... Good luck!

I started at 11 because the hairs on my legs were quite noticeable but you should shave at an age in which you feel comfortable:)

I think there is no age where you SHOULD shave your legs. Really it's what you're comfortable with. I was blessed with dark, thick leg and arm hairs which made me feel uncomfortable and self conscious about it when I was young. If I could go back, I would have waited because shaving is expensive. I would wait a bit. Personally it's a hassle and I try to avoid it whenever possible.

But yeah just because your friends shave, doesn't mean you have to. You're beautiful whether you shave or not.

It's a personal choice. Like Rozberry, I only started shaving at about 13/14 and also don't shave above the knee! My hair is light, thin and barely noticeable. I would put it off as long as possible, I hate shaving! I always wish I'd put it off a little longer!
