My hair right now is just a pretty dark brown/blackish color. People are saying it makes me look older. I recently had red but it fades far too fast! Opinions?!

Instead of dying it all one color, try highlights or low lights. also the type if cut you get can make you appear older and younger. I would talk to a stylist and see what they say.
