I used to do the gel pink and white tips but had them removed to let them be themselves. But they're thin and shred. What can I do?!

Use a nail strengthener I have one by opi. Also soak your nails in water salt olive-oil and salt again, mix and let soak for 10-60 min once a week I know it's a long time...but it really helps :)

I had the same problem. I started by improving my cuticle care. Makes sense, because that's where your nails get the nutrients and natural oils. I massage my nail beds and cutucles twice a day, usually after a shower if I take one or just some time in the morning and before bed. I love using Essie's apricot oil or Earth Therapeutics Nail + Cuticle Care Nutrient Conditioner- This stuff SERIOUSLY works. A little goes a long way for both, but massage either on each nail bed and cuticle for about 30 seconds each finger to get the blood flowing to your nails, this really helps strengthen them. I do this with or without polish on, its helpful regardless.
The second thing I did to strengthen my nails was use a treatment polish. I'm not a fan of sally hansen, or anything that isn't B3F. Essie's Millionails, Grow Stronger and Grow Faster at all AWESOME products that have shown serious results for my nails. I use them as base coats or by themselves. They, CONCURRENTLY, with moisturizing will stop splitting and strengthen nails for sure.
Also, give it time and make time to do these things religiously it you won't see results. And have reasonable expectations.
Do research, I love Jewsie Nails, Loodie loodie loodie, Robin Moses and so many more girls that really know what they're talking about when it comes to nail care. Read articles, watch videos and tutorials.
Beauty is hard work!
Ok, rant done! Phew!
Hope this helps :)
