I am african american, and I really want to know some ways to keep my hair healthy! My hair has been growing longer, but I also want it to grow thicker and fuller and have less split ends. I do have a relaxer/perm in my hair. Any tips and/or tricks? Also, if you know of any good shampoos/condtioners for african american hair, please share your thoughts!!

I suggest try adding more protein to your diet to get your hair a lil but thicker. But if your not the type to live off of meet and beans you can always take some multi-Vitimans (preferably for hair in nails) or you can add more protein by doing protein treatments with your hair. To lessen split end try to figure out what's causing them and do less of whatever that is, seal your ends with a oil- ;) like ishamat says!

I highly recommend you try the Aphogee Two Step Protein Treatment!! It makes your hair so soft and healthy I absolutely love it! Only use it every 4-6 weeks though.

Hot oil treatments definitely (: also nooo heat and only shampoo your hair when it really really needs to be washed. Sulfate free shampoo is best.(: also if you're comfortable with taking a vitamin to aid your hair growth and thickness you can buy biotin. Research it if you'd like.
