I was blessed with pretty terrible hooded eyes. Most of my lid is covered by the extra flap of skin and it makes doing my eye makeup rather annoying. Eyeliner looks pretty bad on me and it's just a tedious hassle when I try experimenting. If anyone has any tips or tutorials, that would be appreciated. (Especially from people who have hooded eyes and have a first hand experience with them)

YouTube is a great place to understand and help with makeup for hooded eye just like mine!
False eyelashes look the best on hooded eyes!
Makeup is more difficult to master with hooded eyes but can be done!
I love darker at the lash line blended up to a soft brownish shade
The best advice I could give is apply your eyeshadow look straight in the mirror. Place the color exactly eyes fully open and then lean back to have space to blend! Practice makes perfect! I also recommend tiny brushes! Typically for our hooded eyes we always need smaller than what typical people recommend!
Hope it helps!!

Don't put eyeliner to far outside your eyes because it will look like it's saggy. But don't put the eyeliner to far in because it will make draw your hooded eyes out. So for the wing you just want to barely put it out. A good person to watch on YouTube for it is alwayscosmeticjunkies. And also keep your eye liner thin.

Oh try white eyeliner on the lower lid it would make you eyes look bigger, same with highlighting the inner corner of the eye.

Try looking at Lisa Eldridge's video for hooded smokey eyes :) her tips are very helpful.

I agree with Stephanie, Wayne Goss is awesome. Just look up gossmakeup artist and you'll find him. He had a video about eye shapes, and hooded eyes are actually super common and better than you'd think! Remember, beauties like Jennifer Lawerence have them and it totally adds to her beauty!

I have hooded monolids ( just figured out terminology on youtube, lol). So I too am back to experimenting with eye makeup. Put in "eye makeup for hooded eyes (or hooded monlid) and a bunch of stuff pops up. (Email me at ljmc555@ yahoo.com and we can go through this together :-)

It's very hard to do makeup sometimes with hooded eyes. I was "blessed" to have an extra droop of skin on the outside corner of my eyes ( it always makes my makeup look dirty) which makes it all the difficult to make both eyes match. When it comes to eyeliner what you want to do is line your lash line very thin. As far as a winged look, you have to wing it outwards not upwards, if you get what I'm saying. To further help you, I would suggest Vintage or Tacky (Cora). She has hooded eyes and does some of the best makeup looks on youtube.
