Hey Laura, what you should do is let your hair natural air dry with your choice of product holding gel spray or mouse and once it's full dry the curl it, if your blowdrying and then attempting to curl the hydrogen bonds in your hair have taken the shape of being straighten from the dryer so they'll revert to that stage. I'm in the process of uploading a messy beachy hair tutorial which I did using this method check it out. Hope this helped -BeautysVictim.
