I want to take my highlights off and just do one color. Will it be ok if I do it at home I really don't want to go back to the salon. I want to go to dark brown will my highlights still show a lil?

Just make sure you let the dye sit in. I do it at home all the time.

If you do it at home please don't buy box hair color, run to sallys and pick up some professional color. Your highlights may pick up a tad lighter than the rest of your hair or in a month you may notice it fades a little where the highlights were.

Yes listen to Megan! It may look hard but the mixture is easy. Also, ask someone behind the desk to help you. Don't get anything too "red" based or "green" based. Look for something neutral. If you do want a chocolate brown definitely look for a red brown base. Sometimes depending on what color your highlights are and what the salon used. Be careful though because some hair color can pull green and it's not a fun color!! Really do your research❤
