Shave like a day before you get it. The shorter the hair, the less painful. :)

Take a few ibuprofen before. it'll reduce the swelling & redness. wear loose clothes after. cosmo had an article about this a while back. mat be you can find it on their website?

Do not shave! The wax needs hair to grip on. A waxing session can take anywhere from 20-40 mins...it depends on how fast and detailed they are. I agree with chelsie s. take ibuprofen before going in to your appointment.

Don't shave. Take a pain relieve pill or two a few moments before the wax an just relax.. It's really not that serious.. It's not as painful as people make it seem. I get it done at the European wAxing center and they do it great. Try and find a location close to you. They use a special wax and technique that is way better then the regular application

No exercise or friction or baths for 24 hours after. Apply Bikini Zone to protect and disinfect when you get home and before bed...air your business out when you sleep that night. Bikini Zone after a COOL shower the next day...then follow up with "The Cool Fix" lotion which treats and prevents ingrown hairs while soothing and moisturizing. Exfoliate regularly. It's quick and easy...so no worries. Gets easier each time. Go for your next wax when the hair removed has grown to be the length of a grain of rice.

The wax needs hair to grip to or you risk damaging the tender flesh. Be sure you go with a licensed aestheticism...and be sure they NEVER double dip. Each application of each should be with a fresh applicator for sanitary purposes.

Do not shave. trim to just over half a cetimetre. Taking panadol an hour before will help it to not be as sore always exfoliate the area before getting it waxed. It should take 15-30 mins just depends on the person. wear loose pants and underwear for a day or so after this will help to prevent ingrown hairs and irritation to the area. exfoliate after to prevent ingrown hairs, a lotion like which hazel will also help to prevent ingrown hairs. No exercise or hot steam or water on area for 24hrs. (:

You don't need to trim. That's a personal preference. If a salon required it, I'd go elsewhere. Good luck.
