I think she's looking for help not criticism, even if you said, "no offense." But Amy I hear vitamin e will help heal scars

She also has freedom of speech. If she cut herself, she's clearly hurting. I just think that was a little rude...

I have scars all up my arms and legs and I've been trying to get rid of them for a while. it takes time. Yours don't look too deep though so they probably won't take very long, which is good :) Vitamin e does help fade them, and if you want to cover them up I recommend glamoflauge Concealer, it covers everything. I'm proud of you for stopping, if you ever need to talk you can message me. Stay strong <3.

I used to use fading creams but they burned my skin and made them darker so be careful! try one out on a small patch. and I stopped trying to cover them. you shouldn't be ashamed of them. be proud that you were able to live through w.e. it is that made you do that.

Okay, so scarring is a difficult thing to assess over the internet. They don't look too deep, but (I don't know anything about your situation, so this is just in general) they may have been reopened several times, giving the scar tissue depth or integrity. A topical oil like bio-oil or Vitamin E will soften the visible tissue and lighten it, but the scar will continue to exist. Mederma and other scarring specific ingredients work by using onion extract as an active ingredient. usually, they are very good at softening and hiding scars, but the only thing that will permanently remove them are laser treatments, which are quite expensive. however, self harm scars can be very emotionally painful or triggers, so it may be worth it to invest in laser scar removal. the best course of action would be to have a dermatologist or plastic surgeon who specializes in scarring take a look at them, hope this helps!

Dermablend works well its been recommended to me. Also go to a camoflague make up artist. They teach you how to hide it. Thats what I do.

Thanks guys. And to Alyssa. I labeled it this so people would look and respond since I need help asap. I posted a picture because if I didnt people would ask questions like how deep are they and how old are they. The picture tells that. I am ashamed of them and they are hidden at school. however on beautylish nobody kbows who I am so nobody will see them. so ya alyssa why would you respond on this? You have no idea what youre talking about since you have never gone through it. plus if you don't have anything nice to say don't say it. thanks.

I can't tell how old yours are, but I used to cut and mine faded with time. They're still visible if you look really close, but otherwise you can't really see them. Going to a dermatologist could definitely help as he/she could assess how deep the scars were, and what your best treatment option is. Stay strong :)
