I used it for almost a year after my first child, and while my stretch marks didn't go away, it faded them significantly... Since its basically the same dirty of skin damage, I assume it will take the color of a scar away, but there may still be a different texture where your skin is damaged... Hope that helps! Oh, and make sure you check online for coupons, there are tons of them out there for bioOil by the manufacturer :)

I personally hated it! The main ingredient is mineral oil, and it is interesting because a lot of bloggers and health advocates say to avoid mineral oil like the plague in cosmetics. It smells disgusting and doesn't absorb well either.

I'm currently using it to fade some scars on my arms from a few moles I had removed and it's helped quite a bit. I wouldn't use it on my face, though. I've been using BB cream (Skin79 hot pink), coconut oil and maracuja oil on my face (I'm oily and acne-prone with some hyperpigmentation) and that combo has been working very well.
