In my opinion darker skin tones pull off brighter colours than pale skin so I think go for it if you want to.

@Steph Z. Yeah, I saw Shannon's tutorial on it, but she has really fair skin and it looks great on her, and I wasn't so sure how it would look on me. But yeah, maybe heading in store to try some swatches could be a good idea, silly I didn't think of that! :P.
