I've heard good and bad things about the spray called sun in.
I currently have highlighted hair. I'd like a lighter color but I can't stand the thought of damage! I want a lighter. color without dying. can I use this without any damage and does it work? please help!! :)

I used it all the time like 20 years ago. It made my hair stiff and dry but it did work. Just spray it on and hit some sunshine. Your hair will definitely lighten and it doesn't turn orange like if you use hydrogen peroxide.

Don't use it! One summer I decided to use sun in and it totally dried out my hair! When I went to get a trim my hairdresser automatically knew you was using sun in and told me to stop lol.

NO!! if you already have highlights that were done with bleach you can not use sun in... I'm a stylist and when the chemicals are mixed its super bad results... either a funky color or extremely damaged.. which means it costs way more then if you just went to the salon in the first and more damage to fix it...

I've used sun in for years. It won't work because your hair was already chemically highlighted. It also only works for blonde or light brown hair. Even medium brown hair will turn orangey. I'd definitely recommend looking into something else, sorry :/

I'm also a cosmetologist, and there is nothing wrong with dying your hair, if done correctly the 'damage' it creates will be completely unnoticeable to you and is MUCH gentler on your hair than sun in or lemon water! those things will ruin your hair and you will most likely have to have a major length change to restore your locks after!

Research the vitamin C method. It really works to lighten hair color. It will even remove black hair dye and make your hair a dark brown. It's awesome I just did it. Hope this helps xox
