Practice practice practice that's all I can say!! I smudge pencil liner thinly across my top lash line and trace with liquid just so I have a line to follow because I'm not good at it either! But what I do really helps.

It works with whatever you like!! Ps do small strokes and practice!! Took me 2 weeks to perfect my eyeliner.

You just need to practice, practice, practice! It might help if you create an "outline" of the shape you want, then go over it with the liquid eyeliner. I usually do that if I'm doing a winged liner look. This way, if you mess up you just have to blend it out, or wipe it off. :)

I like to hold a little handheld mirror and kinda look down into the mirror as I'm doing my liner. It works really well for me.

When you do liquid liner, do your bottom lid with regular liner first then liquid liner on the top start out with a thin line and make it thicker as you get to the middle and end!

Practice before you shower so you can practice and not have to stress about messing up because it will wash off in the shower. The more you practice the easier it gets, so practicing before you wash off your makeup is a great way to get better and not worry about making a mistake.

I prefer gel! Like Mac blacktrack fluid line or physicians formula gel liner has 3 different colors so you can try out and see which color you like.

Gel liner with an angled liner brush is good to practice with. Small strokes and lots of practice.

I adore Loreal's infallible gel liner! (That might not be the exact name, it has a gold lid if that helps!) It's smooth, it doesn't budge, and it's affordable! The brush that comes with it is okay, but I would suggest going out and getting an angled eyeliner brush.
