Less is more! I find the more makeup I apply and the fancier I try to get the worse it looks! try a simple cat eye to spice up your look without looking like you tried too hard

Stick with neutral colors. And also steer away from black. Do light browns and bronzes and golds. They are easier to work with

Practice , practice , practice! if you've ever heard the saying "practice makes perfect" , it true! go on youtube & study tutorials , buy makeup & experiment witn colors , shades & textures , look at your face in the mirror & study it , the more you know your face , the better your makeup will come out. trust me , this is what I do & I've gotten ALOT better with doing my makeup , a lot of people even ask me to do their makeup now! good luck & practice!

If you use smoky eyes in the night, you should use a pale/soft tone in your lips. But for example in the day, if you apply natural colors in your eyes, it looks perfect with a hot red or pink lipstick. Just remember less is more!

Start off with simple things and routines. I remember when I got my naked palette years ago I wore the shades half baked & toasted every single day without a blending color or highlight lol. as far as eyes go to begin with, I would start with light neutrals until you can get used to the idea of darker colors in the crease and highlight colors. eyeliner on the waterline is easy if you're not comfortable with winged liner or something of the like. for the face, don't try too hard off the bat to do a highlight and contour. stick with a luminous blush and experiment as you go along!
