Revive dried out gel liner? I have two of the loreal HIP cream truth eyeliners and I would hate to throw them away. Any suggestions?

Put them in a pot of boiled water. Or mix in some colorless Vaseline.

Adding any oil to it would work, if you can read the ingredients list use the first oil you can recognize or a few drops of water if its water based. If you use something that doesn't melt well with the other ingredients though it could ruin the rest of the product.

Thanks for adding this question Victoria. I have two Pixi gel lingers I was about to throw out. There is so much product left it seems a shame. I'm going to try and revive mine a well. Let us know how yours turns out and I will do the same.

No prob :) I probably won't try putting them in boiling water bc that just sounds dangerous lol. Or Vaseline bc I hate everything about it, I've had something against Vaseline since I was little. Ill prob try adding some water :)

I spray a bit of Mac fix plus in any of my products that have dried out and then press them down with my finger. You could also try storing the gel liner upside down, I'm not sure why they say to do this but apparently it helps with drying out.

How old is the product? if its fairly old I don't recommend trying to salvage it.

I don't want to admit to how old it is... I would be embarrassed haha.

Storing it upside down helps the consistency stay the same. its kinda like an italian dressing- the mixture separates in the fridge so you shake it before you use it.
that whole 'throw your make up away after its _ old' is kind of a myth. some products its legitimately true for, like those super all natural brands with no preservatives, but honestly most make up can be used for years with out it being 'dangerous'. mascara and lipstick are a few exceptions in my book. pretty much everything else can be used until its gone as long as you are smart about keeping your cosmetics clean and germ free.
