Everytime I shave my legs they are itchy and soon become red with red bumps. the bumps are where the hairs will grow back and once they have grown through my legs are totally fine.. The problem is then I need to shave again if I want to wear a skirt or shorts. I don't shave often because of this and have thought about waxing but would like to know if anyone has some tips/ advice?

I had the same exact problem this is what I do.. I use a mans Gillette disposable razor (new razor every time I shave) and skintimate sensitive skin shaving cream. Immediately after shaving I put Olay daily lotion on or I think any good lotion will work. After putting the lotion on a get a pair of knee high socks and put those on for about 10 mins to let the lotion absorb. Hope this helps.

That happened to me. I end up using hypoallergenic body wash by st Ives and like cake it in my legs then shave slightly rinse then put conditioner over and barely rinse then don't touch them! I don't even dry them really I like pay here and there but other than that they air dry :P its a bit of work but it helps for me. Lol. I wish there was a better way but I've tried sensitive shaving creams and things like nair but I get itchy bumps too. Also I wear shorts after I get out of the shower. Lol. And don't put lotion on them until you absolutely have to I usually wait a day. But that's just for my skin. Lol.

Its most likely a sensitivity to the shave gel or body wash your using. shaving opens the skin up to irritation. use something designed for sensitive skin and use a good, sharp razor and you should be ok!

I have the same exact problem it's very irritating. I've started putting aloe Vera on the my legs after I shave and lotion then everyday until I shave again. It's helped me out a lot and my legs are very smooth and silky. No more red itchy bumps.  :)

And I just use my body wash as a shaving cream. Even sensitive skin shaving creams make me break out still.

You can try coconut oil instead of shaving cream, I had the same problem as well.

I also use the coconut oil after shaving and my skin looks burned after shaving, so sensitive. For my who who also coconut oil, because you can eat that stuff as well :):):) I try to let my skin relax for a while before putting on clothing and underwear.

I used baby oil instead of shaving creme. It helps me and I deal with less ingrown hairs. I'm going to try coconut oil and see if its better than the baby oil. I didn't know anything about coconut oil and its benefits since beautylish.

I use conditioner instead on shaving cream, leaves them nice and soft and shiny (:

I make sure I put Aragon oil on after I shave my legs and then after it dries I put on a body butter. I have the same problem and as long as I don't touch them after that for a little while there ok.

I just had my first leg wax... It wasnt really worth it bc even tho I let my hair grow for over two weeks in some spots it wasn't long enough and my legs weren't smooth even right after I got them done. So basically you have to let your hair grow for a very long time unless your hair grows evenly and fast. Also my legs are pretty pale and when I shave you can still see a tiny black dot where the hair follicle is. A lot of the black dots are gone but my follicles are still red and noticeable and I got waxed about two weeks ago.

I had a Emjoi epilator that had 36 plated tweezers and I loved it. It plucks the hairs out. It hurt for the first few times using it but I got used too it. My leg hairs grow back thin or not at all.

The best solution: use Tend Skin from sephora, its around $35 and works for an year.. Apply it after shaving.. Works the best.

I use baby oil when I shave and a men's razor. You could also try hair remover cream like nair, I've never had that leave any bumps (just test a small patch before doing your legs to make sure you're not allergic)

If you want to use a razor then do small strokes and apply cream immediately

I had this happen to me, I don't use any gel or body wash now and they are fine and soft and smooth... Apply lotion after. Hope this helps! 💕

After you shave what if you put on aftershave for men. or alcohol. since it helps them from getting bumps n being itchy

Waxing is tedious but effective. Nair is less work and jus as effective but smells.

Alcohol is the worst thing to put on your skin! stick with oils! if your still having reactions its from other products washing into your pores in the shower.

For this problem, I would recommend a cream or lotion that you can rub onto your legs before you shave... I recommend Olay Satin Effects... It comes in a gold can and it is really inexpensive... But it really works!

Never shave your who ha!! lol I used to n could not continue cuz it always got sooo irritated a day after. I jus get brazilian waxes n they're the best :) so much smoother n more comfortable. As for legs I ditched the shaving gel n use a bodywash that has a thick lather to it. make sure and use hot water on my legs before I start shaving and voila smooth n non irritated. :)

Does the coconut oil rinse away from the razor pretty easily? I would think the oil would build up. I'm curious cause I have sensitive legs and interested in trying this now
