Hey I'm new to this app (and loving it so far!) but I need some foundation tips like how to make your foundation look professional and not cakey. Anyone have any tips?

I use moisturiser over my bronzed/foundation- it makes my skin look more glossy and less powdery :)

Wow, moisturizer OVER foundation? I've never heard that one! it doesn't ruin your makeup?

@Aimee N. why not just use a BB cream?

Moisturize first. Then use a primer, this will smooth out the skin texture & make the makeup last longer. Let that dry for a bit. Then apply foundation using a stipling motion (gently pressing and smoothing the makeup onto the skin) A sponge or brush gives the most even coverage imo. Use a good, finely milled setting powder (loose powder will absorb oil throughout the day & leave it looking fresh.)

If you don't want a cakey look you can also use a setting spray after your regular face routine or you can blow dry your face after applying foundation using cool air. It's what I do and I love it!
