I practiced curling my cousins hair for her graduation, but her hair doesn't hold a curl very well and it's hard to curl. How did I do? How can I make it better??

I used a lot of hairspray!! Our hair is just the type that you have to curl over and over again just to get it to stay! Jose David how did you do her hair?
