I just dyed my hair Monday ans my prom is June 8. I died it almost two weeks before because usually when I dye it, it's really bright red and I didn't want it that bright for prom but I loveeeee the way it came it it isn't too bright. How can I keep it this color for prom? I have like nine days till prom. Any ideas??

Don't wash your hair everyday. It may sound gross but washing your hair everyday is bad. Use dry shampoo or baby powder for oily roots.

That's the trick! Washing your hair is washing the color out. Suffer for a few days and good luck at prom!

Wait 3 days after dying your hair before you wash it. Wash it every two days with color care shampoos with no sulfates! Sulfates strip a lot. Don't use heat but if you do use a heat protectant and pureology has a great shampoo that has red dye in the formula to keep it longer. ( I'm always a red head + I'm a hair dresser :p) don't use drug store shampoos the wax in them will also strip your hair.
