I love the dark. Personally, I don't think the blonde would enhance your complexions hut it is only hair so if YOU like it, why not experiment?

I'm not sure it would suit your skin tone if you went too light, but I would do a chestnut base and gradually add in some highlights a little at a time. It depends on how well your hair lifts. You might not like a drastic change to blonde, or perhaps you may! Try:)

It will definitely get damaged and you will most likely lose some length. Maybe a red or lighter brown? I do have to say that your color now is lovely and I am jealous 😄
