I'm a cosmetologist and you have an oval face. that makes it look 'round' is the fact that the 3 horizontal portions of your face are not all the same like they are for a classic oval face. your forehead is smaller than the other two sections of your face. This makes your cheeks look like they take up more of your face which can give the appearance of a 'roundness'.
You are gorgeous though! There's nothing wrong with not having the 'ideal' proportions- I mean who the hell does? If you added a thick side bang to elongate your forehead or added layers that lightly framed around your cheek bones it would give you a more 'perfect' oval shape.

btw- here's a pic of your face with the sections mapped out for you!

Regardless of what shape it is, you have a very pretty face :). I agree it is oval but definitely appears more round because your forehead is small. Coming from someone with a fivehead that's not a bad thing at all haha. You could even go for a fringe that is quite thick, therefore starting from further back and making it appear like your forehead might be slightly higher underneath - but I'd get it choppy so that its still soft, I think a blunt fringe would make your face look more round again and defeat the point, I'd also get your hair feathered at the front, starting around your cheekbones to define them :)

At first I thought more rounded oval?? But I see that Jacqueline said oval..this helped me a bunch cuz you have exactly the same face shape as my mom and Could never figure it out.

Kim I watched one of your tutorials, the contouring one and it looks like you have the opposite 'problem' of Shoma. you have a smaller mouth/chin region! it looks like you might be a bit of a diamond shape but its hard to tell with your fringe. either way you basically want to make the lower 1/3 of your face look wider. that contouring you did was perfect for that, I'd suggest maybe some layers at your chin to draw the eye out in that area.

*I meant wider and a bit longer.

Yeah its kind of a toss up. but either way its basically the same kinds of hair and make up tricks for that lower 3rd of her face.
