If you use a lot of hair products, you might need to buy a clarifying shampoo to get rid of all the buildup. Some people just have hair that won't curl with curling irons.

Have you tried curling it with a hair straightener?. My hair is wavy & will not curl with a curling iron, but when I curl it with a hair straightener it curls and last a long time. Give it a try! (:

Try a setting lotion. spray the individual sections each time before curling and after curling tge section pin it up into a tight circle on your head then move onto the next section. Once the whole head is done leave it for about 15 minutes then dtart from the bottom and take out all the pins. might need to use a hair spray at the end to so the curls will last. hope I helped :)

I say go with what Rochelle said, and the clarifying shampoo is a good first step, don't use it all time. In fact barely use it at all that's only for bad build up it strips your hair of natural oils, but yeah if you have build up you need it. For products you could try and did KMS hot flex I use that, it's also a heat protectant and Sebastian shine and define is maximum hold with shine, I suggest that for the hair spray, it's worth the money.
