Hello everyone! I have a couple questions about dyeing my hair. First one, I currently have "ombré" hair, & my hair is really long & thick. & I want to switch things up & dye it back to brown tonight & then add purple to it, like this picture. If I was to dye my hair back to dark brown, & then bleach & add the purple! Would it be super damaging? My hair isn't really damaged. I only put heat to it, once a week. :) Someone help me! Sorry for the long post. Xoxox

Alright. It depends on the volume of bleach. And color of bleach. White bleach is most damaging. Where as blue and purple not so much, if you have dark hair ull want a v20 and a toner, your hair may seem damaged, but after you have desired color just deep condition your hair for an half hour and your hair should be good.

Have you ever used the color splat dye?

Thats probably the one dye that is the most damaging because it has peroxide in it, only because he doesn't fade, but it damages.

Before I write you a huge paragraph I just would like to know if you already colored your hair or not?

Okay cool. This is all my opinion as a stylist. The worst thing you can do to your hair is tint it dark and then bleach it. Nothing frys your hair more than that. As for developer it depends on how light you want it. V20 lifts hair 2 shades (generally) more if your hairs fine sometime less if its coarse. you don't need a toner if your going to color it purple, that would just be pointless and a waste of money. This is all my opinion, I don't color my hair a lot but I color a lot of people's hair...for a living. Not to mention vivid colors all fade. No vivid color is permanent. Just make sure when you buy the stuff there is no metallic salts in it, that's becoming a huge problem in the beauty industry right now. You can recover from messed up hair but not melted!
