MAC advice needed!!

So I currently purchased something from Smashbox and received a sample of their Studio 15 hour wear hydrating makeup and I fell inlove with it. I went on to the smashbox website and its $42... I'm tempted to buy it, but don't want to spend that much. So I got curious and went to MAC. they have something that sounds exactly like it (pro longwear foundation) and its $31. what can you ladies tell me about the Mac pro longwear? I like good coverage with a matte finish that won't get oily, that's why I like the smashbox foundation so much. heeeelllllllpppp (:

It covers really well. I used it for about a year and a half and recently changed because I noticed it looked like my face was melting off after a while.
