Mixed Chicks products, Shea Moisture, and Carols Daughter are good brands off the top of my head. Ouidad is supposed to be really good as well. Keep away from shampoos with sulphates in them as they strip the hair of nutrients it needs. Stick to washing with conditioner and using shampoo when you have product build up.

I'm not mixed but my hair is crazy curly too. what I do is shampoo with john freida frizz- ease. condition with coconut milk by organix. then when I get out of the shower. I brush right away, make sure its perfect because you won't brush again. then when its still wet I put some leavin-in conditionner spray by john freda frizz-ease (collection made for frizzy hair). I make sure to put a lot on the ends. then I take some coconut oil, just a little little bit, and put it all over with my hands. make sure its not too much because depending on your hair, it could be very oily looking. then I brush it once more and scruch it up with my hands. I don't blow dry I just let it air dry.

I think these products are gentle and bring out your natural curl shape. it has no crunchy fealing at all. I would also suggest you stay away from heat, mousses and gels, anything that dries your hair. also, I sleep with a loose ponytail on the very top of my head so I conserve my curls. when you have 2nd-3rd day hair just add some water on the crazy parts! as erin said, mixed chicks should be good. I've heard a lot about it!

My hair did a complete 360 since I'm doing this. no more frizz at all. it used to be frizzy and dry! it also grew a lot. it stays nice for one or two days, then I add water or condition in the shower. for the shampoo, conditionner and leave-in, you should be able to find them in drugstores, they're pretty common. and coconut oil should be available in tbe grocery store. I live in canada so I won't be able to tell you where specifically.

Mixed chicks is good, and mane n' tail for shampoo and conditioner. It keeps your hair hydrated and soft. And maybe you should buy a diffuser for drying your hair into more defined curls.

When you're done in the shower run your hair in cold water quick then use some coconut oil or Moroccan argon oil. Amazing results. I have the same issues.!

I use herbal essences tousle me softly shampoo and conditioner, and use literally tons of conditioner, running my finers gently through it to remove knots. I never ever brush it. my hair was brittle and frizzy til I stopped brushing it. before drying I put 5 pumps of loreal elvive smooth intense in, then whop it in a towel to dry off a bit. when I remember I'm still walking about with a towel on my head (takes a while sometimes) I turn my head upside down and really gently scrunch in loreal elvive extraordinary oil, and I generally use 15-20 pumps in total, literally just covering my hands in the oil and gently gently all my hair covered in it (but staying about quarter of the length of my hair away from the roots) I make extra sure I don't break up ringlets or bits that look like they might curl up tight. also I never force any curls, I just let it do its thing. finally I give myself a middle parting until its totally dry, then flip it back to normal, that way its naturally more volumptious without needing hairspray! I hope this helps. finding this hair routine has taken years of experimenting, gwtting different bits of advice here and there, but basically just trying anything other curly haired people suggest, and finding from that a combination that works. good luck! xx

I'm using the tresemme keratin and it remove the frizz and also I'm using an anti-frizz by garniernfructis.

I use tresemme naturals for conditioner and shampoo, but I only shampoo my hair about 2 times a week! The other days I just use conditioner to wash :) I either use my fingers to comb through it in the shower or a wide tooth comb while the conditioner is still in! Hop out of the shower, gently squeeze hair out and then I apply the "Shea moisture" leave in conditioner which works AMAZING! Sometimes the frizz ease spray or coconut oil if really dry. Air drying is definitely best if you have patience :) I used to wear a ponytail everyday also; hope you can tame your mane! :)

I have pretty curly/frizz hair and this is what I do (it works pretty well for me) I use herbal essences totally twisted shampoo and conditioner, and then when I get out of the shower I use mane and tail detaingler, then I get about a dime size amount of herbal essences totally twisted hair gel, flip my head over and just run it through my hair with my fingers!

Heyyy I totally feel you cuz I'm mixed too with the same problem! But I usually condition my hair in the shower with tressame and apply a quarter size amount to my hair then also put some coconut oil in my hair thennnnnnnnn spray my hair with my own hair spray (water n conditioner) comb my hair through with a wide toothed comb and add a little more conditioner and I'm good to go... Hope this helped!! Btw you're so pretty, what are you mixed with??

I'm Puerto Rican and have been cursed with curls, I've found herbal essence curl detangler is the trick. I don't shampoo my hair but once a week. But condition is a MUST. Also try looking at diffusing your hair, it helps lock in the luscious curls. This is how mine comes out with just some leave in conditioner ( I like Aussie)
