So.

I have colored my hair a million times, bleached it a hundred thousand. Myself. In my bathroom. But for some reason this time I decided my skills were inadequate and opted to go to an actual salon.

Baaaddd idea.

I was aiming for a light blonde-optimally a 9, but I would have liked an 8 or a 10 if that was what happened.

It wasn't.

My roots are about an 8. The next two and a half inches are straw-colored. The bottom layer of my hair is a nasty gray-straw color, and the midshaft through the ends are a weird reddish almost-strawberry blonde color, except ugly. And my hair is DESTROYED. It feels like, well, straw. I've never had any problems keeping my hair healthy through a bleach.

I do not want to dye it a darker color and then bleach that out. I want to try to bleach the midshaft a closer color to the roots and then take them both up two levels, maybe more. What's the best thing I can do to rehabilitate my hair within the next two to four days? I don't have the money to go to another salon.

Chanel- my hair hasn't been touched in almost a year. I regularly deep condition and the first thing the stylist did when I went into the salon was comment on how healthy my hair was.

Aleighnna- Thanks! Where can I get coconut oil?

Well, bleach it again, YOURSELF this time, and go to your local beauty store (mine is sally's) and see if they have hair protein packs. the one's that the sally's near my house have are purple and white and they should come together. they are usually around $2 to $3.

My idea is a bit 'drastic' if you haven't had really short hair before. I thought maybe get your hair cut into a pixie style & let it get back to your original colour & healthy new hair. Just depends on how bad this damage is & whether you'd mind 'starting again' Good luck!
