Does anybody have tips on creating a makeup portfolio. My dream is to beacome a professional makeup artist, and I know that your portfolio is an important part. Any tips and suggestions would be greatly appreciated ;)

My 1st advice would be to pair up with a professional photographer who's also starting a career. You both benefit from each other work and you get high quality pics for your portfolio!

I agree with Marta's advice. You can also start a profile on Model Mayhem, you can search casting calls for your area and work tfp (unpaid but you get photos), but make sure you check out the photographers you're looking at working with to make sure they're legitimate and not creeps, and to see what their standard is like :)

The cheapest way is to get started by doing your friends make up (but don't charge anything). Then, get a photographer to take pictures and choose the best ones to put in your portfolio!
