Share your best waxing advice for any area of the body!
1. Make sure the hair in the area you are waxing has grown to be at least a quarter of an inch so the wax can grab the hairs.
2. When waxing, especially loose wax always push the wax in the opposite direction of hair growth to get the hairs attached.

I get my waxing done at a salon. That's my best advice. I'm such a spaz, I would look like a mess if I did it myself

Lol! Exactly the same as Narissa!
The only advice I can give for those who waxed their brows for the first time is to do it two days before the actual planned event (depending on how sensitive your skin is) because it might redden at first. So do it just in case.

I work at a salon and have been for five years.
Best advice is
- to make sure the hair is long enough
- make sure you have a warm shower or bath afterwards (avoid hot spas or water)
- to prevent redness a cold pack or even milk can be applied to the waxed air.
- to avoid ingrowns hair, exfoliate regularity and use a tea tree cream or oil as a moisturizer.
- you can't get waxed if your sunburnt, or have any body rashes. It's good to get any dermatitis or excema treated prior to waxing.
- and to defiantly go to a professional to save and burnt, peeling or waxing disasters!

Make sure the person is using a new stick every time they dip into the wax!
Make sure they are wearing gloves!
Sanitation is key...

If you wax your body wash the area with mild soap like ivory or dove for a few days afterwards to avoid irritation. also if you use medicated facial products be careful getting facial waxing as it can take off a thin layer of skin =)

And I always recommend going to a professional.

I only do touch ups at home. I use a homemade sugar wax. It hurts like hell the first time but you get used to it.
