I'm looking to get a set of French tipped fake nails but I don't know what kind is the best. Acrylic? gel? I need something pretty durable, and preferably ones that don't need to be filled or fixed too often and inexpensive is always a bonus. Any suggestions?

Gel are better for your own nails, as acrylic damages the nail bed. Also gel is quite long lasting and doesn't chip.

Gel manicures are better.

I like acrylic personally but gels are better.

What I don't like about gel nails is you have to go to the nail salon to get it removed with the electric nail file machine or whatever its called. Your nails are thin and nasty like when you get acrylics removed.

Thanks girls! Does anyone know how often you have to get gel nails filled?

If you mean gel acrylic it would be every 2 to 4 weeks
Gel manicure doesn't require fill just take off the color and put a new one on
