Because it covers things up and makes you look prettier without making it look like you have any on!

It's a soft look that enhances one's beauty...perhaps hides an imperfection.

It's just blurring imperfections and enhancing your NATURAL beauty! You don't want to look like your wearing makeup, because that's not gorgeous! You don't want someone to look at you and be like "Wow, that's some makeup!" You want them to think you're just naturally really gorgeous without a ton of makeup! That's my take on it at least. (:

I think when they say natural makeup they don't mean 'bare faced' they probably meant effortless beauty. I've always like natural makeup more so I understand. Compare a bold smokey eye to the eyes with brown accents only. Obviously the brown one looks more effortless.

I wear natural makeup most days because wearing makeup is against school rules hahaa.

When you get older and become more comfortable in your own skin and less concerned with the opinions of your peers you won't worry so much about little stuff like that. I use to think more along those lines and now that I am older I just look around me and see beauty in many things that I didn't realize I could appreciate so much before. I think Kevyn Aucoin really captured what it's all about when he said that at one point in his life he just saw beauty in almost everything.

People do makeup looks that are natural-looking, but give you a "fresh-faced" appearance, which can sometimes be achieved only with makeup.

Mairead is so right with the last comment, recently I've been wearing a lot less make up, I find even if I just use primer when I'm sat around the house I feel like I look better. And even with no make up on at all if I curl my eyelashes I can actually look in a mirror and think 'oo I look quite nice' where as with no make up I feel like an ugly bug haha. Not all the time but quite often lol =L.

People want to look natural but feel better and more confident with makeup or they have something's they want to cover up. To be honest too much makeup everyday is what I question.

I think it's more of enhancing natural beauty. Hiding blemishes and under eye circles. And that's not the same as going full blown makeup status

I like wearing natural to smooth out the skin,...make everything a little more perfect :) longer lashes, dewy skin, and to cover acne :)

It brings out your face and makes it look like you have the natural beauty everyone wishes they had.

I don't know about everyone else, but I wear makeup because I like to, not to make anyone else happy. I consider natural makeup anything with neutral colors, but I don't necessarily think you're trying to trick anyone into thinking you aren't wearing any, or I'm not at least, but I don't like bright colors on my face most of the time, but I wear makeup everyday.

I love wearing natural makeup as an everyday look since I'm a working woman. Wanna look simple elegant n flawless to work. I need makeup on I wish I didn't to cover my skin imperfections and dark circles. So a soft look does wonders for me and I avoid a lot of color until the weekends where I get My party face on.

I'm a natural wearer and I guess "we" just don't like the feel of heavy makeup, its easier to breath... sometimes we just don't wanna spend lots of time, sometimes hi-lighter, concealer and brow filler is all we need!

Not everyone is blessed with perfect natural skin. Some have redness or discoloration so they want to even it out to make it seem like they have a natural even skin tone or such. Not really sure why that's so hard to understand.

To hide imperfections but not make it look crazy.

People wear natural makeup to enhance their natural features. Some people don't want you to look at them and see makeup. They want you to see their natural enhanced beauty without over doing it. I enjoy wearin natural colors. There is no need for me to wear a dramatic makeup look to school. Natural is beautiful. Wearing natural makeup is to help cover imperfections and help you feel more confident in yourself.
