Can somebody explain to me why people wanna wear makeup that makes them look like there not wearing makeup when if they wanna look like that they just don't have to wear makeup at all? maybe I'm crazy but that makes no sense to me at all. then again I don't wear makeup either cuz I see no point in it. I don't know, just wondering.

I AGREE with you SO much! I don't understand why you want to look natural with makeup, when it's not natural! Unless you make your own makeup organically from scratch. I just wear no makeup or go all out with makeup when I do.

I don't really get it either. I mean, if you want to put on BB cream or foundation so your face is more even then I get that. Anything else, not so much. :/

Thank you hahaha. I don't understand at all.

Haha yeah it seems silly but people do it just as they would for any makeup look, to enhance their beauty and to feel more confident. (Oh, and because makeup is a lot of fun ;) People wear "no makeup, makeup" to feel more confident and beautiful without being covered in makeup :)

Because it makes girls feel more confident when people think they look good without makeup when really they've got it on its like an 'illusion' really

Sometimes like if people don't want a very dramatic look so they do that. Sometimes ill wear more natural or earthy tones for shadow but use a darker eyeliner so it isnt all that natural I'm not sure sorry.

It depends on your own makeup style. Some people feel like they have to wear less or natural looking makeup because of the bad feedback of going all out with makeup recieves. Some people are criticized harshly because they wear foundation, concealer, bronzer, and etc., but if that's their style; what can you do? Wearing makeup makes an impact on that person's self-esteem and confidence. Some people feel more comfortable in a natural style while others go full glam. It's whatever you like.

But wouldn't you feel even more confident if they say you look good without makeup and your really not wearing makeup? To me, if you can find a guy and have friends that think you look just fine without make up our even cover up or cream, I see no need for any type of make up. And if people can't accept you for who you are when your not wearing make up then screw them cuz you shouldn't need it or anybody to make you feel good about yourself, you know?

I don't know about other people but I know that I wear more natural makeup looks because it matches what I am wearing more than a matching color. I don't know if that makes sense or not but that's what I do. I also am nervous about going crazy with colored make up like fun eye shadow colors because I don't think I can pull it off but with natural eye make up, I know I can...so that's why I do.

I think the point of makeup in general is to enhance the good features in a persons completion. So makeup that seems neutral will still be accentuating and perfecting features.

At Gabrielle, I know many girls on here, including myself, wear makeup just for fun! They go without all the time and are completely comfortable barefaced. Makeup doesn't have to be about covering up or changing yourself in order for others to like you, its for you to be an artist and show off your skills. I feel beautiful with and without makeup, and I use it like an artist painting on a bare canvas. There are endless artworks to create on your face. That has nothing to do with anyone but me. Friends and loved ones do love people who wear makeup, barefaced AND made up. It's not so black and white, you know?

I wear what you would probably consider natural makeup - the reason I wear it is because with makeup it enhances how I look (like covering blemishes and dark circles, making my eyelashes longer and hence my eyes stand out etc) and because I love playing

In my opinion, I think people wear makeup to feel more confident in themselves. Simply enhancing your natural features a bit can help people feel more confident. Like Becca said, it's like an illusion that gives confidence.

Because creating a natural look helps you define your features without going overboard. Such as using white eyeliner to make your eyes bigger. And wearing mascara to enhance your eyelashes a little bit.

I love the no make up look. I think it's prettier than a dramatic look.it has nothing to do with other people's opinions and if I get a compliment that I look good with no make up I make it clear that I'm wearing make up. but I also love doing a smokey eye and a full face of make up every now and then.

That depends on how you see make-up, I think of make up as something made to enhance your natural beauty not cover it up.
If somebody wears just concealer, some neutral shadows and a bit of mascara, is your opinion that they shouldn't wear any because its not noticeable enough or whatever your argument is?
That may well be what you think but to them they are covering up spots, scars, discolouration ect, Making they're eyelashes look more defined and noticeable and its making them feel good about themselves.
At the end of the day that's what make-up is, Its an art and it makes you feel good about yourself.
whether somebody feels good just wearing mascara or if it takes a face full of make-up, that's none of my concern! I personally don't care if somebody wears yellow face paint everyday, if it makes me them happy then great!

Yea cuz I was wondering about something simple and you gave a long smart ass remark that I'm pretty sure I didnt need? It actually sounds like you were offended, and if you are that's really all you had to say. Js.

Gabrielle- Jacqueline and Holly were just explaining that people who wear "no makeup" makeup shouldn't have to validate why they do what makes them happy. I know I get annoyed when I wear glitter and have people asking me, "What's the point of wearing all that crap on your face?" I shouldn't have to explain myself over what's on my face. If you like it, cool thanks. If not, then there's no need to comment. I don't really care what others do to their face because it's their face, not mine. Someone else's makeup application isn't going to change my life in any drastic way, so there's really no need to worry about it. All that should matter is that they are happy and well.

No I see there point but my point is I was just curious, I'm not judging anybody or anything for what there doing I was just stating my opinion and looking for someone with the same one or someone that could possibly answer the question and they didnt have to come off as rude as they did becuz again I was just asking and nobody asked for there opinion in particular anyway.
