Lining your lips is not a must if you're 17 and under. Apply some Lip Balm/Vaseline to your lips first. Then, apply the lipstick but do not smear it on. Just smoothly apply. Later, add some lip gloss. Finally, you need to use a tissue, post it, or notecard to dab your lips to avoid it getting in your teeth.

I am a teen and wear it most weekends... I use lip balm then apply the red lipstick with a lip brush. Blot and use a clear or red gloss over the top x

Beautylish actually had an article on this not to long ago. And lip balm will tamper with the lipsticks formula, so it won't last as long. Exfoliate and moisturize the night before :)

Use a lip brush instead of globbing on the whole tube on the lips. A lip brush will make it more even and buildable, and not to mention neat :) also, exfoliate and moisturize the lips so the lippie won't settle into cracks or lines. :)

Put some foundation or concealer on your lips, line your lips and then apply the lipstick. :) xx
