Edlins dress is super cute and just the right amount of formal and great for the season. The other dress, well no black (bad luck) or white (brides color) at weddings! Wear something with the season or color theme of the wedding. I think a coral would look great on you and something flowy, with an empire, or high, waist can be worn with flats or heels, unlike Edlins type dress where your kinda stuck with one shoe type. It is summer, so you might even get away with a nice pair of sandals depending on how formal the wedding is. You've got time, so shop around for something you're comfortable in and that's equally as beautiful! Oh and don't forget accessories!
