I have curly hair and when its wet it's down to my lower back, but curly it's almost past my chest. I use a lot of mousse because if I don't it will pouf out so far! My question is how to get it smoother and less frizzy naturally. I'd like to have the strands soft and silky!

You are experincing shrinkage. As a curly gal myself mousse isnt going to do squat to elongate the curl. You will need something much heavier than that and something is is moisture rich because curly hair craves moisture. If you are using shampoos that contain sulfates just toss them in the trash. All it does it dry out your mane which contributes to frizz. Check out Mixed Chicks, As I Am, and my new personal fave...Camille Rose Naturals.
