I heard a dermatolgist talking about nails on youtube saying that you CAN't make your nails grow any faster that they do so you will just have to wait.. My opinion is that fake nails are really fake.. Lol I don't like them.. But you actually don't have to grow your nails a lot more than that caus short nails are really in this year.. :) a lot more trendy than long nails :)

If you want your real nails to grow, don't wear fake nails. These will suffocate your nail cells. When you remove the fake nails, it also peels off a layer of skin that coats your nails. This will cause them to chip, break, and peel, and you will have to start all over again. To make them grow, I suggest wearing no nailpolish. This will let them breathe and grow strong. You can also buy serums at Sally's to make them grow.

You know this may seem weird but my mother use to tell me to soak my nails in fresh squeezed orange juice, it actually worked for me, it's odd but must do it everyday.I guess it's a old remedy from her day.

I have a voting problem too. To break the habit, I get fake nails for a month. 21 day rule for breaking habit kinda works here. After I remove the nails, I use this green tea polish by Sally Hansen for strengthening my nail. Any strength net might work but I love that one. If you keep up the routine of applying polish and taking care of the nail, you won't feel like biting it. At least that's what works for me.
