I'm 4'11 and I struggle finding dresses that would go with me because I'm short. Especially because most of them look better on tall people. What type of dresses would fit best for someone short?

Yay! Someone else who is short! I'm 4'10 and go for strapless or thin strapped mid thigh or above knee tight dresses. I find the longer the dress the more it takes over your body. Hope that helps :)

I agree. Definitely something above the knee. And possibly something all one color since that is supposed to make you appear taller.

The petite section is your friend for shorter hem lines that were made for women typically 5'4" and under which is actually the average height of the American woman but most clothing brands cater to the tall model types but that's fashion for ya! :P.

Wow! So happy I am not the only one under 5 foot, lol. (4'7 here). For dresses, I always wear heels and have found out dresses above the knees look better too. Still hard though cause I can't wear any sizes but little girls clothes.
