I was wondering if any of you guys have ever highlighted your hair with lemon juice and if so did it work? I want highlights but I don't want to use dye. Thanks!

I think it might work but I would not recommend it, as you would have to use a fairly large quantity of juice, which is very acidic and could actually make your hair thin and weak. There must be some other products such as special shampoos/conditioners which can make your hair go lighter.

I've used peroxide & it worked but it burns & takes forever.. Unless you hair moisturized hair then I wouldn't do it.

It causes more damage than if you were to use color just as long as its not box dye! All the 'home remedies' of hair coloring make your hair more dry and can often times for a stylist to color over your hair predictably.

It works but will make your hair really damaged.

I did it once, and I had darkish brown hair, and then after doing it my hair turned a blonde colour, but as it goes back it's awful, trust me you'll probably regret it! Natural hair is so much better
