I have been inspired by some of you lovelies to start being more adventurous with makeup, however the stuff I have is minimal and not up to the job! I would really like to get a good primer, eye primer, eyeshadow palette (maybe so I can do a neutral smokey eye flr daytime and a more dramatic night look), highlighter and red lipstick that lasts ages and doesn't come off. I'm in the uk and will only be going to places like boots! any recommendations? (particularly for the lipstick, highlighter and eyeshadows) thanks in advance!

Sleek makeup palettes from superdrug, high beam from benefit (highlighter) or no7 do a good highlighter but can't for the life if me remember what it is called. Urban decay primer potion for eyes, I like collection 2000 red lipstick but I use lipcote over the top, which is also available from boots x

Oooh I've heard good things about urban decay in other conversations too, it must be really good. I reckon if they don't have it I will definitely order it online! I'm pretty sure I've seen benefit there before, cheers guys for the speedy response!

Almost forgot, have a look at the MUA stuff in superdrug too, most of their stuff is only £1, their single shadows are amazing.

I'm from Ireland and you can get urban decay eye shadows in debenhams so you shouldn't have a problem getting them but Avon does very nice red lipsticks too and other colours, they're all very matte so you should get one of those
