I would love to wear braids all the time but my short and long layers cause bits to stick out of the braid and it doesn't look nice! Any tips on how to keep them in? :)

Messy braids are adorable, but if you don't like them just tuck the pieces in and hair spray them!

If you curl or wave your hair first, then braid it, it makes it look a lot better. the pieces that fall out are a lot softer and not so harshly poking out.

Messy braids are awesome! But, if you want to keep things in place, try using a styling gel that does not cause crunch. =)

You can try small amounts of mouse while braiding and then some hairspray when done.. Do not use too much hairspray because it can cause a kind if big mess with flyaways that you will try to attempt to tuck in resulting in the need for a new braid.

Braid it while its wet with a light to medium hold styling product, be it gel or pomade or whatever. Just don't braid TOO tight because hair is most fragile when it's wet.
