Hair extensions help?

So I've had hair extensions off and on for the last 4 years, but I've never payed much attention on caring for them, right now I have 20 inch microbeads, any tips on how to look after them properly would be great, I'm trying to make these ones last as long as possible, thanks :)

Don't wash them too often.
