I have very delicate hair. I want to go lighter but my hair and bleach don't react well together at all. I've read here that some girls use lemon and go out in the sun and that works for them. Have any of you tried that? And would it damage my hair even more?

I heard that the lemon treatment works but the acidity really damages hair... Try playing in the sun a lot that's really the safest thing I could imagine that would lighten your hair.

I used hydrogen peroxide and it worked, I didnt have to go out in the sun, it dried it out a little but any lightner will dry your hair a little.

I sprayed it and left it on till I washed my hair the next day, I don't recommend spraying the top though(:

I've heard the hidrogen peroxide works and I think it is because if it touches scalp it will peel it or something like that.-. sorry if I'm wrong.

My mom and I both use lemon juice and go out into the sun. We've both never had any problems with it it hasn't dried out my hair or anything. I do take really good care of my hair though so it's super healthy even though I've dyed it and bleached it. I always get told how healthy it is :p

How light would you say it made your hair? How many shades lighter?

The more applications you do the lighter it got, and I don't recommend doing the top cause when I did the top it looked weird, do it for like an ombre or highlights from the side of your face but not the top.
