Make up setting spray helps a lot for me! And urban decay has one that helps combat oily skin, it's called deslick. Good luck! :)

Right after your foundation, just simply try blotting your face with a blotting sheet (not paper, paper will make everything slide around), that way when you powder you don't have so much moisture to set. use a oil controling primer!... also make sure that ALL your face makeup is water based, silicone based or oil based, which is an oxy moron because that's what we're trying to avoid... hope this help <3... XOXO - aly.

MAC Fix+ is an amazing setting spray to try for when your makeup looks too cakey. I can't preach enough about it lol, because I hate when my face looks to powdery. It helps me out like every day.

Try applying your foundation with a normal makeup sponge. Just dip it or run it under water and squeeze out the excess. It seriously makes your foundation go on super smooth! Good luck.

No not fix plus. It's more like a refresher. Like if your face is dry and a tad bit cakey. I don't think it will be a good combo if you have oily skin and the weather is hot.

Which brands are available to you? I personally haven't tried any setting sprays, but there are home made versions of setting sprays. Check for tutorials or Google :)

Is your primer oil based or silicone? Is your moisturiser oil based or oil free? Is your foundation oil based or silicone based? Ask yourselves these questions, because oil and water don't mix! If your moisturiser is oil-based and your foundation water-based, the result will be cakey.

Clinique products tend to be more water/gel based while Mac ones are oil based...maybe thats the reason for the cakiness...Try switching your foundation to a Clinique one too...That might silve your prob swty...Clinique Stay Matte Foundation is a good option...

I've tried both the UD Deslick and Mac Fix+ setting sprays, and I prefer Mac BY FAR. It sets my powder into the skin so well and makes my makeup last way longer. I absolutely love it.
