The glue that you use for the fake nails is really bad for your nails.. :-/ and gel nails arent very good either.. And by te way long nails are not that trendy anymore.. Short nails are so in right now lol :d

They can be bad something's with gel I'm not really a fan. And acrylics are okay. Just make sure you don't pick at them or rip them off because then the nail and nail bed is stripped of oil and such. It also help just to have them off for a week or so because then they can breath. Does that make sense? :/

Wearing false nails or even nail polishes too long will severely damage the nail. The nail bed obtains oxygen through the nail plate, acrylics and polishes inhibit this and lead to weakened nails. Additionally, fake nails and nail polish trap moisture against the nail plate, which can lead to damage over time. If your nails have damage, it is best to go without false nails and other products and just let the nail heal. A lot of damage can be undone by allowing the nail to go through it's natural process. Just keep them trimmed short and allow the damage to grow out, usually it will be much better in a couple of weeks or a month.
