Don't use peroxide on it, do use a triple antibiotic ointment like Neosporin. You could even try liquid band aid.

Ouch! Now that it's ripped off though, I would say to use the triple antibiotic ointment and a band aid. Do the peroxide before bedtime and let it breathe for the night. I once cut halfway through my thumbnail, and I used peroxide every day to prevent infection, along with the ointment. I did have to cut the nail as close to the nail bed as I could because it got snagged on everything. Hopefully it heals well. Eventually the nail will grow back and it should look normal, as long as it doesn't get infected. Mine took a month to fully heal, but now you wouldn't know that it ever happened.

Please don't rip it off as you csn futher damage your nail bed. Neosporin, trim, bandaid but leave it to air out once in a while. just don't rip it of. let it fix itself naturally.
